Ethical issues in multicultural nursing in the context of child Ukrainian war refugees

The diploma thesis deals with the approach of children's nurses to Ukrainian war refugee children requiring intensive oncological care. In nursing care, transcultural-multicultural nursing models are used as an ethical principle. In particular, the models of M. Leiningerová, J.N. Gigerová, and R. Davidhizarová created in the 1950s focus on holistic cultural care, health, and disease manifestations of individuals or groups and respect the common features of cultural values, beliefs, and practices. Perennial philosophy

My diploma thesis researches the concept of perennial philosophy (philosophia perennis, theologia prisca) and its development in the history of different cultures of the World. As I claim, the concept of Perennialism presents a useful means of understanding of different cultures distanced from us in time and space, including the history of the culture of ours. Perennialism shows, that Wisdom is not an exclusive property of just one civilization, but a common heritage of the Humankind as a whole. Further, it points to mutually beneficial influence of different cultures of the Globe. Throughout the paper, my focus lies on the development of philosophia perennis in the Islamic civilization, particularly on Sufism. Before being demolished by the rise of nationalism, the Sufist philosophy enabled a peaceful coexistence and dialog between different cultures and religions. The development of Perennialism is further studied in the philosophy of european Renaissance, where it was first tolerated by the Catholic Church, later to be abandoned, unfortunately (with few exceptions), during the Reformation and the Thirty Years' War. Culture of the Bulgarian minority in the Czech Republic in relation to the majority Czech population

Title: Culture of the Bulgarian minority in the Czech Republic in relation to the majority Czech population This thesis inquire into the signs of Bulgarian culture in the Czech republic, presents options and limits of its implementation in focus to interaction of Bohemian a Bulgarian cultural settings. Final discourse combines author's theoretic knowledge with empiric perception of Bulgarian community. The main emphasis of thesis is represented by overreach of cultural territory and historical contacts to contemporary reception of different ethnic minority. Importance of ethnic cultural activities support and urgency of cultural knowledge spreading are also referenced in the text below. The main topic of this thesis is the philosophy of education in the ancient China and ancient Greece. It deals with the onthological and gnoseological comparation between the Tao-Te-Ting whose authorship is ascribed to the wise man Lao-C, and the Plato`s philosophy of education, mainly his Constitution. The thesis tries to outline two main points of view on the concept of a human being, on its position in the world and the moral lesson or education derived from it. The thesis tries to put two doctrines rooted in two different cultural backgrounds next to each other and compare them. Selected conceptions of interpretation in intercultural dialogue

In reference to Hans-Herbert Kögler's critical-hermeneutical approach, presented paper identifies the act of interpretation as an underlying assumption for realization of intercultural dialogue. The paper is divided in two parts. First part is a discussion of key concepts such as dialogue, identity, communication and recognition. It can also be read as an attempt to capture the development of the idea of intercultural dialogue in a historical perspective. The interulturality is defined here as an ethos. Second part presents particular hermeneutically oriented conceptions of intercultural dialogue, namely the conceptions of Raimon Panikkar, Ram Adhar Mall, Vincent Shen, Franz Martin Wimmer and Hans-Herbert Kögler. The recent shift in methodology of intercultural dialogue is characterized by merger of the paradigms of communication and recognition and is identified in Hans-Herbert Kögler's integrative approach.

Multiculturalism and intercultural recognition in Czech context

The work describes and interprets the thematization of the politics od recognition in the context of Czech academic debate. The particular subject of discussion is the concept of intercultural dialogue that develops some authors gathered around the Centre of Global Studies of the Czech Academy of Sciences. Intercultural dialogue is a concept that puts emphasis on creation of new communication levels at meetings of various cultural groups. This concept and the way how is it used in the Czech context is influenced by pre-understanding arising from the nature of Czech society and its relation to cultural minorities. The emphasis on assimilation of these groups and the apparent confirmation of cultural homogeneity of Czech society, which is reflected in the perception of these groups. Thematization of intercultural dialogue in the Czech debate may be a critical response to the relationship of the majority and minorities. Interpretation of intercultural dialogue precedes an explanation of key concepts - recognition and acknowledgment in the multiculturalist politics context. This explanation works mainly with the concepts of recognition by Charles Taylor, and Nancy Fraser.

Communication Activities of the Austrian Cultural Forum in Prague for the Period June 2010 - May 2011

The Communication Activities of the Austrian Cultural Forum in Prague from June 2010 to May 2011 bachelor thesis presents the cultural non-profit organization and its activities, briefly describes its history, operation and organizational framework, including finances. The thesis addresses marketing communication emphasising cross- cultural and institutional aspects. The aim of this work is to observe which activities of the Austrian Cultural Forum in Prague (OKF) contribute to providing a complex picture of Austria and its culture in the Czech Republic and how these activities are presented. Based on one year's observations, description and analysis using literature criteria the thesis outlines communication strategy, marketing mix and communication tools. The practical section assesses the overall promotion in regard to creating Austrian Cultural Forum's image and targeting particular interest groups. Furthermore, there is a summary of last year's events, major events' analysis or a list of cooperation examples and assessment of influential names associated with the events. The final chapter contains, survey evaluation that was conducted in opinion leaders and which underpins the author's subjective assessment of Austrian Cultural Forum's various activities and the disunited and chaotic nature of...
